Home visits
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible 01642 676520.
Home visits are restricted to patients who, in the doctor’s opinion, are too ill to come to the surgery. Transport difficulties or the age of the patient are not acceptable reasons for home visit requests.
Visits are normally made over the lunch-time period, after morning surgery.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
